Dirt, data and determination: Kalib Riddle’s drive to help farmers plant smarter

An entrepreneur since grade school, Kalib Riddle has always been interested in sustainability and agriculture. Now, the second-year economics major and Techstars Columbus participant has launched a startup dedicated to creating agricultural technology that reduces fertilizer runoff and soil erosion while helping farmers save money.

A unique collaboration between Fisher and Liberty Elementary School proved a pivotal point in the lives of 85 fourth graders. During a day of learning on Ohio State’s campus, the Rising Leaders experience gave students a chance to look within and showcase who they aspire to be, meet with professors and students and experience the excitement of a university campus.

An eye-opening experience in war-torn Ukraine led international business student Claudia VanHuffel to view business through the lens of compassion. As an intern with a governmental medical supplier, VanHuffel immersed herself in war-time health care, helping to improve patient outcomes and the quality of life for those afflicted by the ongoing conflict.
