We carefully review academic credentials, essays, resumes, references and other notes to select individuals who are a great fit for our SMB-A program. It is paramount that you demonstrate your academic aptitude, showcase your leadership and teamwork experiences, highlight your involvement in community or professional associations, and provide insight into the personal experiences that will enable you to add value to the Fisher community.

Application Deadlines

The SMB-A program processes applications on a rolling admissions basis, meaning that we review and evaluate complete applications as they are submitted rather than waiting until a specific deadline(s) to begin the review process. The SMB-A program has an autumn enrollment only. We encourage you to apply now so we can give you your admissions decision. We release admission decisions on completed applications, usually within four weeks. Due to the online format, the SMB-A program is unable to accept international applications for those with or seeking an F-1 or J-1 visa.

We recommend applying early

We typically receive more applications than we have space available in most of our graduate programs. It is to your advantage to start working on your application early. However, we do accept qualified late applicants for select programs each year.

If you do not receive an offer of admission, you may contact our admissions staff to discuss how you can strengthen your application and apply for admission in a later year.

We will keep your application on record for a maximum of one year. However, when you decide to re-apply, we require that you complete a new application in its entirety, including new academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement, resume, and application fee.

As we evaluate whether you are a good fit for Fisher's SMB-A program, we will consider four main categories:
