What does operational excellence look like? For alumna Jenna Dickerson (MBOE '20), it's ensuring that, as the Laboratory Safety Program Manager for Ohio State's Environmental Health and Safety, the 2,900 labs across the university's campus are safe places for research, learning and teaching.

Ohio State graduates open S'wich Social, selling ice cream, cookies in Italian Village
Sean Whited (MBA '19) and Addison Brown (MBA '20) met in Fisher's MBA for Working Professionals program, where they hatched a plan for made-to-order ice cream sandwiches. The idea has given way to S’wich Social, which opened in March at 869 N. 4th St., and is built around customizable combinations of two beloved tastes – ice cream and cookies.

Danielle Lim is the co-founder of another Grandview space with Melissa Blackburn, whom she met while getting her MBA at Fisher College of Business. One Thursday evening after what Blackburn describes as a “girl boss” event, they were both feeling inspired and Lim mentioned an NPR piece she heard on coworking spaces. By Tuesday, they were looking at the building that now houses Haven Collective on Riverside Drive.
