Fisher Global Grant
Could $750 - $1,500 help you to pursue a global experience? If you qualify for one of our global programs, you qualify for grant funds!
The Fisher Global Grant is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for Fisher undergraduate and graduate students. Apply Today! (The application for Autumn 2023- Summer 2024 will open the first week of class.)
***Please make sure to create a profile in ScholarshipUniverse and answer the matching question related to study abroad, prior to applying for the Fisher Global Grant.
Undergraduate Fisher Global Grant Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an enrolled student in the Fisher College of Business (Business Major)
- Must be a Fisher Office of Global Business program
- Must have a 2.75 GPA at the time the application is submitted
- Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct
Graduate Fisher Global Grant Eligibility Requirements
- Must be enrolled as a graduate student in the Fisher College of Business
- Must be a Fisher Office of Global Business Program
- Must have a 3.3 GPA at the time the application is submitted
- Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct
- Must be participating in a Global Business Expedition, Student Exchange, or Direct Enroll program at the graduate level.
Fisher Global Grant Application Deadlines
Travel dates start between: Dec 1-May 10

Program Application Deadlines
- Students are encouraged to apply to a Fisher global program within two weeks of receiving an award confirmation

Please note that all Fisher Global Grants will be disbursed to your student BuckeyeLink account during the term of program travel/participation.
Fisher Passport Scholarship
The Fisher Passport Scholarship is now available for all Fisher students, including those applying for Fisher Global Consulting: Non-profit, Fisher DEI Global Scholars, and Honors Cohort Global Labs programs. Apply through the ScholarshipUniverse application and receive $150 towards a new passport! Fisher Passport Scholarship recipients will need to provide confirmation of their purchase prior to receiving the scholarship funds. Take this first step toward going global!
Due to generous subsidies already included in their program fees, students who plan to apply for the Fisher Global Consulting: Non-Profit, Fisher DEI Global Scholars, Honors Cohort Global Labs and GAP programs are ineligible for the Fisher Global Grant. However, they may still use the Fisher Global Grant application to apply for the new Fisher Passport Scholarship.

OSU Scholarships
The Mary Nancy Davis Scholarship is offered through the John Glenn Institute. The applicant must be from Ohio and a participant of the John Glenn Learning Community, pursuing a degree in any area except the visual arts.
Matthew T. Williams Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is offered through the College of Engineering. The applicant must be an undergraduate student at Ohio State, majoring in electrical and computer engineering while working part-time. Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 GPA.
This scholarship is offered to those associated with Beta Theta Pi. Applicant must be enrolled full-time at Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University and a members of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity in good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI)
ODI offers two unique scholarships to help students reach their dream of traveling abroad for an educational experience.
OIA Global Online Learning Scholarship
The OIA Global Online Learning Scholarship is offered through the Office of International Affairs. Applicants must be applying for a virtual experience that occurs during either May or summer sessions in 2021. Successful applicants will be awarded $250 in scholarship funds to be applied towards the cost of their virtual experience.
Office of International Affairs (OIA)
OIA offers over 20 unique scholarships, as well as college-specific funding opportunities.
Student-Alumni Council is offering multiple scholarships for undergraduate students. SAC is dedicated to enhancing the connection among students, and works to foster a sense of community and instill in the student body a lifelong commitment to our alma mater. Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP)
STEP enables student to enrich their second-year experience at OSU through activities such as internships and education abroad opportunities. Student participants are able to apply their $2,000 grant towards program fees and expenses associated with education abroad programs offered through the Fisher College of Business.
Undergraduate Fellowship Office
The Undergraduate Fellowship Office advises and assists all qualified undergraduates interested in applying for national scholarships and fellowships.
The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Academic Enrichment Grant award amounts range from $100 to $1,200.
Wolfe Study Abroad Scholarship
The Wolfe Study abroad scholarship is offered through the Office of International Affairs. Scholarships will be awarded to full-time undergraduate students attending Ohio State in a degree-granting program.
Student Financial Aid Options
You must be formally accepted into an education abroad program through the Fisher College of Business or the Office of International Affairs before aid eligibility can be determined.
Step 1: Fill Out & Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Ohio State Scholarship Application
- Both will be used to calculate the amount of money you will be awarded for the semester or term in which you plan to have a global experience.
Step 2: Submit Budget Letter to the Student Service Center
- Either Office of Global Business or Office of International Affairs will provide you with a budget letter once you have been accepted.
Step 3: Sign up for Direct Deposit & Schedule Financial Aid Counselor Meeting
- Signing up for direct deposit will allow you to receive funding 5-7 days prior to the start of your program instead of waiting for a mailed check.
State Scholarships
Columbus Board of Realtors Fund
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Board of Realtors. Applicant must attend an Ohio institution and major in real estate or related fields.
Emerine Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. Available to any female enrolled in an Ohio college with a commitment to volunteering. This applicant must have satisfied one of the following: returned to college as an undergraduate or graduate student after an extended absence of at least two years; be 23 or older and in college for the first time; be applying for graduate school for the first time with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (GPA); or have completed freshman year with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Financial Planning Association Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is offered through the Financial Planning Association of Central Ohio. This applicant must live in and attend college in Ohio and be involved in extracirriculars with more than 1/2 hours required in the major area of study completed. Applicant must major in financial-planning related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Northsteppe/T. Ewing Miller Memorial Real Estate Scholarship Scholarship
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. Applicant must be a sophomore standing at Ohio State with an interest in real estate. This should be demonstrated by enrollment in real estate class in Fisher and preference will be given to candidates.
O'Neill Family OSU Army ROTC Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is offered through the Department of Military Service & Army ROTC. Applicant must be an American citizen and member of the ROTC Program. This student must be enrolled full-time at OSU at soph-senior standing and meet Army's criteria for being commissioned as an officer.
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. This applicant must be a pledge or active member of Theta Chi (Alpha Lambda) at Ohio State in good standing. One candidate must be in science/engineering program, the other may pursue any course of study.
Twylla & Lloyd Fisher Scholarship for Minority Students
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. Applicant must identify as a minority and reside in the Columbus area. Applicant must attend an educational institution in the US, either full or part-time.
Water Management Association of Ohio
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. Applicant must be a resident of Ohio and a full-time student at a university in Ohio, pursuing a degree in agricultural engineering, aquatic biology, civil engineering, education, geology, (water-related). Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA.
National / Global Scholarships
Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship Fund
The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving a Federal Pell Grant at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in a study and intern abroad program.
The Boren Awards fund the intensive study of language and culture abroad by U.S. undergraduate or graduate students. All eligible applicants have the option to either apply for a Regional Flagship Language Initiative or select/design their own study program.
Bryce Thomson Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is offered through the National Ice Cream Retailers Association (NICRA). Available to all students enrolled full or part-time at a public college in USA while pursuing any course of study/undergraduate degree.
Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) Case Study Scholarship
FSF awards hundreds of scholarships ranging from $7,500 to $35,000 each year to students from over 60 colleges and universities nationwide. The first step towards winning a scholarship is to apply for the annual FSF Case Study competition.
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs.
Gilman-DADD Germany Scholarship
The Gilman-DADD Germany Scholarship provides an additional 40 scholarships per year for the next three years for exceptional U.S. undergraduate students to study and/or intern for academic credit in Germany through the Gilman Program.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund has awarded over $675 million in scholarships. HSF Scholars have access to valuable Scholar Support Services and, as funding permits, scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000.
James L. Allen Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. Applicant must an African-American and attend college on full-time basis, achieving at least sophomore status. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
This scholarship is offered through the Columbus Foundation. Applicant must be enrolled full-time at US institution and majoring in aviation or hospitality with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
